Environment & Heritage
The Bushwalking Tracks and Conservation (BTAC) committee deals with all land management issues affecting the integrity and bushwalking amenity of our natural areas. It contributes to the formulation of public land management plans, provides additional comment at draft stage and prepares submissions regarding the preservation and integrity of natural areas. Representatives appear at public meetings and review panel hearings as necessary.

Advocacy & Submissions
Bushwalking Victoria's advocacy efforts aim to proactively influence decisions that impact on bushwalking and bushwalkers in Victoria.
It achieves this by engaging with key decision makers and land managers such as Parks Victoria and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) to ensure that bushwalking issues and opportunities are understood and considered when policies and decisions are made that impact on the bushwalking community in Victoria.
This work is primarily done through the active participation in the Bushwalking Advisory Committee a consultative advisory committee which Bushwalking Victoria, Parks Victoria and DELWP operate together as partners.
Bushwalking Victoria makes direct submissions to government. It also encourages its member clubs and supporters to actively respond to various submissions to government through the Engage Victoria on line consultation platform. www.engage.vic.gov.au
