About Ballarat Bushwalking and Outdoor Club. The Ballarat Bushwalking & Outdoor Club has events on offer most week-ends as well as a regular mid week walk. The events calendar provides an outline of upcoming activities with further information available at club night and in the monthly newsletter. Membership of the club is a good way of meeting others who share similar interests and has been a great source of friendships for those new to Ballarat or those wanting to explore outdoor activities with like-minded friends. Club Meetings.  The club holds a meeting at 7.30 pm on the first Thursday of every month (except January) at the Uniting Care—Sunways Function Room, 1311 Gregory Street, Lake Wendouree 3355. The club night is a social occasion with updates provided on planned activities, often a guest speaker or presentation is organised, followed by a light supper. Club Newsletter.  The club produces a monthly newsletter called 'Rat Tales' for members detailing news, articles of interest, recent trip reports and the upcoming Calendar of Events.
