The Walk in Detail
Getting There
Travel to Falls Creek on the Hume Highway to Wangaratta. From Wangaratta take the Great Alpine Rd (route B500) to Myrtleford, Bright, Mount Beauty and then Falls Creek village. The walking track to Wallace Hut commences 7.7 km along the Bogong High Plains Road from the Rocky Valley dam wall. Park your car on the side of the road and walk down the short well-graded track to Wallace Hut.

As this is a walk in an alpine area it is important to include warm gear and waterproofs in your day-pack
