About the Walk
Overview
The view from Boronia Peak summit is 360 degrees across the township to Wonderland Range, along the range towards Mt William and out across the plains to Lake Lonsdale and Lake Fyans. Gang Gang cockatoos are often seen along the ridge. The walk itself is not too hard but provides enough scrambling to make it feel something worthwhile has been achieved.
The Walk in Detail
This walk starts at the Halls Gap Information Centre, and follows Fyans Creek north to Delley’s Bridge. Cross the bridge and then follows the other side of the creek south to the Boronia Peak turnoff. The track from the turnoff to the Summit is easy to follow but does involve quite a few well-maintained stone steps. The last 100 metres to the actual summit is a rock scramble, but the 360 degree views are well worth the effort. Unfortunately, there is nothing left of the trig point except 3 bolts in the rock.
The return path is easier. Follow the track back to the track junction, turn left and follow The Terraces fire trail for approx. 1km to a marked turnoff to Tandara Rd. Cross the bridge and follow Tandara Rd to Grampians Rd. Cross the road and turn right along the shared path back into Halls Gap.

Getting There
Walk starts and ends at the Halls Gap and Grampians Visitor Information Centre, 117 Grampians Road, Halls Gap.
Walk Precautions
Rough track at summit, scramble required. Summit is exposed to sun, wind and rain.
