About the Walk
Overview
For everyone from beginners to experienced sketchers, enjoy sketching a variety of landscape aspects including rocks, trees and a creek, under the leadership of an experienced artist and teacher.
The Walk in Detail
Walk to the Botanical Gardens pavilion for some basic tuition in outdoor sketching. Then we will select two or three different sites to showcase a suitable sketch theme. Following each attempt there will be an opportunity to share what you have done, with the leader’s comments and encouragement.
Getting There
Walk starts and ends at the Halls Gap and Grampians Visitor Information Centre, 117 Grampians Road, Halls Gap.
Walk Precautions
Some uneven stone steps. All equipment carried must fit in a small backpack. Note that for this event there will be a $20 extra charge to cover provided materials (sketch pad, charcoal, pencils, eraser etc). Please carry something to sit on that can be fitted into your day pack, e.g. ground sheet.
