The Walk in Detail

MORNINGTON (Beleura hill) – SCHNAPPER POINT – DAVA COAST – ESTUARY BOARDWALK – MT MARTHA.

Starting at Bunnings car park cross Nepean highway onto Tallis Drive (1) and walk north past the Mornington Golf Course then Carrara Creek Lane to the end.  You will then follow a walking track (2) down to Mills Beach.  Walk south/west along the beach around a rocky point (3) and along another beach to Schnapper Point (4).

Follow a track on the top of the cliffs to Fishermans Beach and along the beach to Linley Point (5). You can take a short walk to the point.  Continue along the walking track checking out various lookouts (6) along the way.  Keep your eyes open and look at the street names until you see Augusta Street (7).  Cross the road and walk along Augusta Street to the end and you will see a footbridge over Balcombe creek. Go past this bridge and follow the track to a second bridge (8).

Cross this bridge and head back west along the track and you come upon a boardwalk (9) through a swampy area beside Balcombe creek.  Continue along this boardwalk and it will become a walking track past the Balcombe Creek Eestuary (10).  Continue on to the car park on Watson road.
