We certainly agree. 👍 Exploring the outdoors is a great experience full of adventure. During the month of November, Victorians of all experience levels are invited to take part in one of over 60 guided walks hosted by bushwalking clubs throughout the state.Find a walk here: bushwalkingvictoria.org.au/try-bushwalking-month/Walking with a bushwalking club offers much more than just exercise. It’s an opportunity to explore breathtaking locations with the confidence and guidance of experienced leaders who ensure you stay on track and safe. Clubs provide a sense of security, offering support in case of injury, unexpected wildlife encounters, or rapidly changing weather conditions. Most clubs also include public liability and personal accident insurance, giving you peace of mind during your outdoor adventures.Clubs can help you develop valuable outdoor skills, from first aid to advanced navigation techniques, ensuring you are well-prepared for future hikes. Whether you're a seasoned walker or completely new to bushwalking, clubs provide a welcoming space to learn from experienced hikers and, for those with more experience, to pass on knowledge to others. Many clubs even offer low-cost or free equipment hire, making bushwalking an accessible and affordable activity. The benefits of joining a bushwalking club go beyond physical fitness. It helps build confidence, leadership skills, and self-efficacy, both on and off the trails. It’s also a fantastic way to meet like-minded people, creating friendships and social connections that can last long after the walk is over.Whether you’re looking to explore new places, develop new skills, or simply enjoy the camaraderie of walking with others, now is the perfect time to get involved. So, why not take a step toward adventure this November? Join Try Bushwalking Month, meet new friends, and experience the incredible benefits of bushwalking with a club. With a wide variety of walks happening across Victoria, there’s a trail for everyone! ... See MoreSee Less
