Hi. How do I find d walking groups in my local area please? I'm in Traralgon
Today is International Volunteer Day, with the theme “If Everyone Did.”We want to take the opportunity today (and everyday) to thank all of those that volunteer so much of their lives to Bushwalking Victoria. The track maintenance crews from Bushwalking Tracks and Conservation -BTAC, the search and rescue teams from Bush Search and Rescue Victoria, Board members, trainers, conveners, Fedwalks crew and all those volunteers who put their hands up to get involved in BWV projects. And then a huge shoutout to the volunteers across all of our 60 affiliated bushwalking clubs - walk leaders, committee members, walks coordinators, website and systems volunteers, and every other person that puts their hand up to help out in their clubs. There is an enormous workforce of volunteers out there helping us to walk in incredible places, safely guided by generous people. So to all of you. THANKYOU!And just a reminder - you don't need to be able to climb a mountain, or offer 20 hours of your time each week to become a volunteer. Many roles just take on a very small amount of your time, and its always appreciated! ... See MoreSee Less
