Starting at the King Street car park follow Golf Links Rd. You will go past a hang gliding ramp (1) then walk past the Flinders Golf Course (3) with excellent views over Bass Strait. You will see offshore the Mushroom Reef Marine Sanctuary (2), continue until you reach the entrance to the RAN gunnery range (4). From this road drop down to the Kennon Cove Beach and walk to the pier (5).
Walk along the shoreline past Dodds Creek (6) until you go past some cliffs (7) along the coast. You will go past Manton Creek (8), (at high tide you may have to climb to the cliff tops opposite Tucks Road and edge along private property) and then continue to Shoreham beach (9). You may need to go upstream until you can cross Stoney Creek and then over the headland back to the beach. You go past the caravan park camping ground (10) and finally arrive at Point Leo surf beach (11). Go up to the camping ground and then to your cars at the Point car park to finish the walk.
This walk starts at the King Street car park in Flinders (Melways 261 H10) and ends at the car park on Point Leo Road (Melways 257 C6). Drive to Flinders on Mornington-Flinders Rd which becomes Cook Street. Turn South on King Street and follow it to the end and the car park.
