First Aid Course - Bnai Brith Ramblers

Bnai Brith Ramblers has organised a first aid course to be held on Sunday, 12 November 2017. Applications to attend are also open to members of other clubs affiliated with Bushwalking Victoria.

The course is HLTAID003, equivalent to the old Level 2 first aid certificate. Self-study (about 8-16 hours) prior the face to face training is required (course book provided) with a pre-class (multiple choice questions) test sheet to be completed. During the class participants must:

Demonstrate competent CPR performance on an infant and adult manikin (1 manikin per student) placed on the floor
Participate in three first aid scenarios
Provide an accurate verbal report of an incident
The provider, Premium Health, has 30 years of experience and currently delivers first aid training to 45,000 participants per year.

The venue is Premium Health, 123 Gardenvale Road, Gardenvale, on Sunday 12 November 2017 9am - 3:30pm.

The cost of the course is $120 plus $5 postage (total $125) per person. Members of Bushwalking Victoria affiliated bushwalking clubs are eligible for a Bushwalking Victoria subsidy of $25 which can be arranged through their own club after the completion of the training. Registered volunteers of Bush Search and Rescue (BSAR) are eligible for a further subsidy from BSAR.
