Joining a bushwalking club is a great way to meet new people, improve your fitness and have fun in the outdoors. There are 60 Bushwalking Victoria Affiliate clubs spread across Victoria and most clubs welcome new members and visitors.
There are clubs of all sizes with many offering walks across Victoria, interstate and even overseas. Most clubs welcome people new to bushwalking and you are certain to find experienced members willing to pass on their knowledge to beginners. Some of our clubs conduct training specifically for people new to bushwalking. Club membership is low cost, with most annual membership fees ranging from $35-$60.
Most clubs welcoming visitors along for a trial. Contact the club to discuss your bushwalking experience and find out about the types of activities on their program.  Many clubs also offer other outdoor activities in addition to bushwalking, such as kayaking and cycling, and other social activities.

Koonung Bushwalking Club (KBC), is a group of people who enjoy outdoor activities. KBC undertakes a variety of outdoor activities including a range of day walks that cater for all levels of fitness and abilities. Koonung means "muddy waters" in Aboriginal.

Koonung Bushwalking Club offers members and visitors the following benefits and features We have about 150 members of all ages from the Eastern and surrounding suburbs of Melbourne.We offer a wide range of day walks in local, Regional, State & National Parks on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. Also conduct base camps, overseas trips and/or other social activities.Walks are conducted for all levels of fitness from beginners to experienced and for all ages.Visitors are welcome on all walks.We recognise that walking, particularly in the outdoors enhances fitness, wellbeing and good health, is fun and a great social activity for all ages.Interclub and environment event.Training is offered to those members interested to acquire navigation, first aid and leadership skills.We are affiliated to Bushwalking Victoria and also provide insurance cover for all walkers."Walk-Talk" is our monthly magazine. Club meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7.45 pm, usually with a guest speaker covering different topics. Visitors are very welcome. Meetings location is in The Pines, Learning & Activity Centre (far north end of The Pines Shopping Centre), 520 Blackburn Road, Doncaster East.
