This walk follows an old rail trail, visits the site of the Merricks Rail Station and the original station site. There is an old overgrown railway turntable alongside the track, and good views over vineyards and possibly Western Port Bay.

Ricketts Point

Spectacular cliff top views of beaches stretching across Port Phillip Bay to Arthur's Seat in one direction and of the City skyline the other way.  Early Heidelberg artists' views of the area are preserved on the information boards along the track by displaying their paintings next to the area they depicted. Opportunities for beach and rock-pool exploration.

Stony Point - Hastings

You will see an interesting country train station, tug boats, mangroves, a disused Oil Refinery, a tidal mangrove boardwalk and a large boat marina. You will see also excellent coastal scenery and the One Steel (BHP) Strip Mill across the bay.  Car shuffle required.

Tirhatuan Park

Tirhatuan Park in Dandenong North forms part of the Dandenong Creek vegetation corridor, providing important habitat for native flora and fauna. The park includes  two lakes, a wetland, boardwalk and bushland, the walk also takes in the Dandenong Creek as well as views to the Police Road Retarding Basin.
