About the Walk
Overview
This walk showcases three beautiful Otways waterfalls and traverses terrain that is varied and spectacular. The tracks are good but there are many river crossings so wet feet are inevitable.
The Walk in Detail
The walk begins at Allenvale car park. Cross the road from the carpark and follow the track beside the river signposted to Phantom Falls. It leads across a footbridge; and through a picturesque orchard. The track then parallels the river for about 1.5 km until reaching signposted steps down to the base of Phantom Falls (1). After viewing the falls, head downstream for about 150 m, cross the footbridge and pickup Cora-Lynn Track. Follow this track along the beautiful, fern-filled Cora-Lynn Creek for a little over 5 km, crossing it more than 20 times, and viewing the beautiful Cora-Lynn Cascades on the way (2).
Eventually, after a sharp climb out of the creek, the signposted junction with Lemonade Creek Track is reached (3). Turn left and follow that track, crossing the busy Erskine Falls Rd after about 500 m. Continue on the Lemonade Creek Track as it descends through beautiful forest to terminate at Erskine Falls.
Getting There
The start of the walk is a short, 5 minute, drive from the Registration Hall. Follow the signs for Erskine Falls to the top of the hill and at the roundabout look for signs to Allenvale. There is a signposted carpark. The car shuffle to locate cars at Erskine Falls takes about 20 minutes.
