Baldry’s Crossing – Gwenmarlin Road

Baldry's Crossing - Greens Bush - Main Creek - Gwenmarlin Road Starting at Baldry's Crossing follow the Main Creek track where you will see nice views over farmland above a steep embankment (1). Continue along the main track and ignore other side circuit tracks on the right side of the track. Walk through the bush past a small creek & boardwalk (3) until you reach an open area (4). This was a bush airstrip for the Green family farm. At the other end of the airstrip is the site of the Green family farmhouse (2).You will see good views over the Main Creek valley and Bass Strait from here.  Walking further you will descend into a valley and come upon a grass tree Forest (5). Drop down until you cross Lightwood Creek and reach the track Junction. Turn to the right (West) and climb the hill to the Rogers Road Track (6) then head left (South) on this track until you reach the Long Point Track.  Head to the right (West) for about 50 metres then turn left (South East) along the Long Point Circuit Track (7). Follow that until you reach the Two Bays Track (8).  Turn left (North) until Long Pooint Track Junction is reached (9).  Follow right (East) descending on a track to Long Point. This track still heads East and you cross Main Creek. Follow Main Creek upstream (East) with farmlands on your right side and National Park on your left side. Along here you are very likely to see many kangaroos and wallabies on the farmland (10). Continue along the creek crossing the creek now and then and some fences until you reach the Gwenmarlin Road road bridge where the car/s should have been left before walk started.
