About the Walk

Overview

You will see excellent views over Port Phillip Bay, Bass Strait and the Rip. You will visit a waterfall and there may be some medium climbing around here. The gardens at Seawinds are very pleasant in Spring.

The Walk in Detail

The Walk starts and ends at the car park at start of Bunurong Track. Starting at the car park, go through the gate and walk along Two Bays Track south climbing all the while. You will pass good viewpoints (1) along the way.  Once at the top walk along the track past the Cook Street Track (2) until you reach a track intersection (3) in an open grassy area.  Continue across grass south along the track till you enter the trees, and then follow this track to Kings Falls (4). Follow the walking track south, climbing to the car park on Waterfall Gully road but stay on the track to complete the circuit (5) through two ferny gullies to the original track. From here return north back to the track intersection (3) and retrace your steps back to Cooks Street Track (2).  Turn right and walk into Seawinds (6), through the gardens to the North & South Lookouts (6). Walk towards another lookout near Arthurs Seat road and you will see a side track back to Two Bays Track.  Follow Two Bays track downhill back to the car park on Bunurong Track.

Getting There

Arthurs Seat State Park is located 60km south of Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula (Melway 159 D12). Drive to McCrae.  At McCrae turn right (south) into Lonsdale Street, follow this road and cross the freeway. Turn left (east) at the roundabout into Bayview Road and drive about 2 kms to Bunurong Track and the car park.
