From Beaufort travel west towards Ararat on the Western Highway. About 11 km after Buangor, take the second turn off right into Langi Ghiran State Park. Do not take the first entry to the Park (7.5 km after Buangor) as that is not allowed. On the second turn off (Kartuk Road) note the Railway Crossing and travel 5 km to the picnic/camping area, where the walk starts. Note that Kartuk Road is shown as Langi Ghiran Picnic Ground Road on some maps.
Parks Victoria: Langi Ghiran State Park
Note: As at August 2012 many areas of Langi Ghiran State Park are still affected by damage caused by heavy rainfall and storms in early 2011. Park staff have commenced repairing roads, walking tracks and visitor facilities and this work will continue for some time. Check with Parks Victoria for the latest information prior to visiting this park.

While in the area visit the La-ne-Jeering Aboriginal art site. When driving out of the park, turn hard left onto the Langi Ghiran Track about 100 m from the campground. Travel approx. 5.5 km until you see a small parking area on the right and a walking track going off to the left. Take this 1.8 km return track to visit the Lar-Ne-Jeering Aboriginal rock art site - its well worth the effort. Return to your car and continue east to join the highway in less than 1 km.
