Replacement of Toilet Block - Ritchie's Hut
Parks Victoria are currently in the process of replacing the existing toilet at Ritchie's hut.
The works are scheduled between February and April 2017.
There may be no toilet available for use between this period as the old toilet will be decommissioned. Please ensure you walk at least 100 metres from the river or any water way, dig a hole and bury your waste and toilet paper very carefully.

Easy walks are 8 – 12km in length on formed tracks through level or gently undulating terrain. Typically 12km would take 4 – 5 hours walking at a relaxed pace.

Black Hill comprises large granite outcrops rising to a summit 614 meters above sea level from a base which is some 530 meters above sea level. Walks from 2km to 12 kms allow walkers to enjoy extensive views together with impressive rock formations.

This is a circuit walk that explores the central area of the You Yangs Regional Park. The granite peaks of the You Yangs rise dramatically from the surrounding volcanic plains between Melbourne and Geelong and are clearly visible from as far away as the bay side of Melbourne and beyond.
The Grand Strzelecki covers in excess of 100km of walking and hiking tracks stretching from Morwell National Park to Tarra-Bulga National Park and Balook in a 3 or 4 day hike. Divided into segments, the GST can also be walked in shorter sections, ideal for 1 or 2 day hikes.
Part of this interesting walk is a section of the 3-day Burchell Trail. Most of the walk is on quiet vehicle tracks through undulating woodland, with an understory of grass trees. Of interest are old slate quarries, good views and a little gorge. There is a short steep descent into the gorge and then a climb out. 100m change of elevation a series of small ascents and descents toward the end of the walk.
The Great South West Walk has been developed as a bushwalking trail suitable for most ages and abilities comprising short 2 hour loop walks, full day walks, or for the intrepid, the whole 250km loop that begins and ends at the Maritime Discovery and Visitor Information Centre in Portland Victoria, Australia.
