Replacement of Toilet Block - Ritchie's Hut
 
Parks Victoria are currently in the process of replacing the existing toilet at Ritchie's hut.

The works are scheduled between February and April 2017.

There may be no toilet available for use between this period as the old toilet will be decommissioned. Please ensure you walk at least 100 metres from the river or any water way, dig a hole and bury your waste and toilet paper very carefully.

Aireys Inlet Beaches and Cliff Tops

Starting from the Uruquhart Bluff carpark, west of Anglesea, The walk goes along the beach to Split Point near Airey's Inlet, then returns via the clifftops to the start point.

The beaches and rock shelves between Urquhart Bluff and Split Point Lighthouse provide excellent walking and wonderful views at low tide. Rock formations, colourful cliffs, coastal views from water level, clifftop panoramas, rock pools and coastal heathland provide contrast and variety along this very scenic section of coastline.

Anglesea Perimeter Track - Western Section
Great Otway National Park

Starting from Coogoorah Park in the middle of Anglesea, this circuit walk climbs up via woodland paths, to provide great views over Anglesea, then descends through O'Donohue Reserve and back via coastal paths.  Much of the area covered by this walk is in an environmentally sensitive area and walkers are asked to respect the land and not walk off track.

Starting at Memorial Arch on the Great Ocean Rd, this walk leads inland to Coalmine track, then via Moggs Creek track to Moggs Creek picnic area. The walk continues along a pleasant walking track to a great viewing point overlooking the coast then descends back to the beach to complete the circuit.

Starting in the centre of Aireys Inlet, we walk to the lighthouse, then along the coast, crossing Moggs Creek, then turn inland following woodland tracks to Moggs Creek Picnic Area. From there, we return to Aireys Inlet via a ridgeline walk offering splendid views of the coast and cliffs.

This walk has excellent coastal scenery, historical sites, artists views of the bay, views over Sorrento, a botanical gardens and old historical buildings. There are a number of secluded bays on the Bass Strait side of the Peninsula. Artists viewpoints are marked on the artists walk map obtained at the Information Centre near start of the walk. The walk takes you through Sorrento and Portsea as well as along Portsea's front and back beaches.

Walkers will view excellent coastal scenery, go past small coastal holiday villages and see offshore rocky reefs. The Royal Australian Navy has its gunnery range at Flinders. This walk is best at low tide to avoid walking along the cliff tops and having to enter private property (you should obtain prior permission).  Car shuffle required.
