Replacement of Toilet Block - Ritchie's Hut
 
Parks Victoria are currently in the process of replacing the existing toilet at Ritchie's hut.

The works are scheduled between February and April 2017.

There may be no toilet available for use between this period as the old toilet will be decommissioned. Please ensure you walk at least 100 metres from the river or any water way, dig a hole and bury your waste and toilet paper very carefully.

Paradise Walk
Mt Cole State Forest

Take a walk in the Mt Cole State Forest through a variety of of bush areas including a lush valley of fern trees.  The Mt Cole area is a great place for bird watching and you can also see kangaroos, wallabies, echidna and possums.

Pennyroyal Falls Circuit
Great Otway National Park

Starting from the Mt Sabine Rd, at Norman Track, this walk follows 4WD tracks, then walking tracks and pads to Pennyroyal Creek, then upstream along the creek to Pennyroyal falls, returning via a rough walking track to Dunse Track and hence to the start point. An optional side trip to Wymbooliel falls, adds about 2km to the walk.

Petersons Lookout

This is a delightful short return walk in the eastern section of the Tyers Park. It takes in Petersons Lookout which is perched high above the Tyers River within the Tyers Gorge. Please note this walk is closed annually from 1 July to 15 December for fauna protection.

Phantom Falls
Great Otway National Park

This circuit walk starts at the Sheoak picnic area and goes via Wonwondah Falls, Henderson falls and through gullies and a canyon to Henderson Track.  Along Henderson track to Phantom falls, and then along the track beside St George River back to Sheoak picnic ground.

Easy walking along flat, sealed tracks taking in points of interest including an historic manufacturing site, the beauty of the river and surrounding parks.  Some native birds that may be seen include:  Seagulls, Wood and Black Ducks, Small Pied Cormorants, White-faced Herons, Rainbow Lorikeets, Magpies and Mudlarks.

This walk explores part of the Surf Coast.  Starting from Point Addis car park, the walk descends to the beach, past rugged cliffs and a headland.  The walk then ascends up to a clifftop walk through heathland and woods, back to Anglesea.

Point Addis - Bell's Beach

Starting from the Point Addis car park, this circuit walk goes through heathland, along the coast with great views of the ocean and cliffs returning via Addiscot and Bell's beaches.  Bell's is the world famous surf beach and is very popular when the surf is up. Depending on tides, you may need to start this walk at Southside by walking along the beach towards Pt Addis

Point Addis - Ironbark Basin Circuit
Great Otway National Park

Starting from Ironbark car park (Point Addis Rd), this walk follows coastal tracks and the beach, to Point Addis, returning via heathland and forest paths and a 4WD track to the starting point.  There are some great views and part of the walk goes along the Koorie Culture walk where a number of signs give information on cultural practices, food, plants, and animals.

Point Cook Coastal Park

Easy walking along a mix of flat, gravel tracks and uneven dirt tracks. These walks take in views of  Port Phillip Bay, and the city skyline of Melbourne. The walks start at the historic Homestead which is well worth spending time to explore. The Tower, which is a Monument to Migration and Aspirations is well worth the visit.
