Replacement of Toilet Block - Ritchie's Hut
 
Parks Victoria are currently in the process of replacing the existing toilet at Ritchie's hut.

The works are scheduled between February and April 2017.

There may be no toilet available for use between this period as the old toilet will be decommissioned. Please ensure you walk at least 100 metres from the river or any water way, dig a hole and bury your waste and toilet paper very carefully.

Jacksons Lookout & Hunts Dam

The walk starts at the Hepburn Primary School and visits the Hepburn Springs Mineral Reserve. Sections of the walk follow the Dry Diggings Track, which is a leg of the Great Dividing Trail (GDT). The walk is through open stringybark and box forest.

Jells Park

A large park in the Dandenong Creek Valley, this circuit walk goes around the peaceful lake which is edged on one side by large grassy slopes that welcome play and picnics, while on the far side is a quiet conservation area that is natural bush.  Visit a bird hide or several delightful children's playgrounds.

Mount Buangor State Park

A pleasant walk on the edge of the forest with a good variety of vegetation, animals and birdlife.  Orchids and other wildflowers in spring.  Note: As at August 2012 this walk is closed due to storm damage.  Check with Parks Victoria prior to visiting this area for updated information.
