Replacement of Toilet Block - Ritchie's Hut
 
Parks Victoria are currently in the process of replacing the existing toilet at Ritchie's hut.

The works are scheduled between February and April 2017.

There may be no toilet available for use between this period as the old toilet will be decommissioned. Please ensure you walk at least 100 metres from the river or any water way, dig a hole and bury your waste and toilet paper very carefully.

Fernshaw - Dom Dom Saddle
Yarra Ranges National Park

Enjoy a walk through mountain ash forests in Melbourne's 'water catchment". This walk takes you beside Morley Creek and Watts River through beautiful mountain ash forests, their high canopy providing an ideal habitat for an understorey of shade-tolerant trees and shrubs that thrive in cool moist gullies. This walk involves a 400m climb and a car shuffle.

Ferntree - Ararat Reservoir - Ferntree
Mount Buangor State Park

A steep climb for approximately 1.5 hours past waterfalls and through eucalyptus forest to the sub alpine vegetation at the top of Mt Buangor. The walk is well signposted up to the summit. Beyond the summit the track is not signposted until the reservoir road.

Flinders - Shoreham - Point Leo

Walkers will view excellent coastal scenery, go past small coastal holiday villages and see offshore rocky reefs. The Royal Australian Navy has its gunnery range at Flinders. This walk is best at low tide to avoid walking along the cliff tops and having to enter private property (you should obtain prior permission).  Car shuffle required.
