Club Anniversaries- Warrnambool Bushwalkers

The program to celebrate 30 years of walking:

  • 10am: 4km easy walk, starting from the Koroit station.
  • 10am: Cycle along the rail trail to Koroit.
  • 12noon: BBQ at the Koroit railway station. BYO food, drink and a chair. Disposable plates and cutlery, tea and coffee will be provided.
  • 2pm: Short slideshow of the club's activities of yore.

Iranian Bushwalkers Inc a Bushwalking Victoria affiliated club, is one of the organisers of an event in the Dandenong Ranges National Park to raise funds to provide educational support, infrastructure and resources to disadvantaged children in Iran. 3rd Meeting of Victorian Bushwalking Club Presidents

The third meeting of club presidents was hosted by the Geelong Bushwalking Club on Wednesday 19 October.

 

Agenda items discussed included qualifying walks for new members, ways of addressing a member's inappropriate behaviour, arrangements for reviewing club accounts and the availability of software to manage membership lists.

 

Members at the meeting affirmed the decision for two meetings of club presidents per annum, with the next meeting to be held in February 2017.

 

The convenor and location for the February 2017 meeting will be advised.

Wilsons Promontory Conservation Action Plan

Parks Victoria will launch the Wilsons Promontory National Park Conservation Action Plan at an 'open house' event on Saturday 29 October. The plan will set off a new approach for managing parks in Victoria.
