Extended Navigation training Practical day

A day of practical navigation to enhance your skills. The course will cover the following as part of route planning:

Pacing, timing, attack points, aiming off, catching features, use of handrails, back bearings.

The course assumes some navigation ability such as grid references and contour lines. It is NOT a beginner's course day.

Date: Saturday May 6th

Time: 9am to 3:30 pm

Location: You Yangs

Maximum participants: 12.

Participants need to provide own compass (Silva brand preferred) map case or plastic envelope, notepad & pen, long pants, gaiters and sturdy boots, warm clothing & wet weather gear, lunch, snacks and water.
